Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores - Saturday 11am-1pm, Free Demo: Papercrafting with Cricut & Gypsy. 1-3pm, Free Demo: Foodcrafting with the Cricut Cake.

Lakeshore Learning – Saturday 11am-3pm, Free Brilliant Butterfly: create a butterfly using tissue paper, pom-poms and pipe stems!

Lowes Build and Grow – Saturday 10am-Noon, Kids build a Free Fortune Teller Game, where you ask a question, shake the game and look inside for the answer.

Michaels – Saturday 10am-Noon, Free Scrapbooking Page Make-It Take-It, Free Shadow Box Demo. Adult craft only.

Michaels – Sunday 1-3pm, The Knack Free Family Event – Make-It Take-It Bottle Caps: Design your own bottle cap creations.

Target – select a city to find free or reduced-price admission to arts and cultural events in your area, sponsored by Target.

Toys R Us – Sunday Noon-3pm, Nintendo 3DS Demo!

Train Rides for Free in Waterman’s Holiday Lights Train:  You will see 250,00 Lights on Display.  Kids Meet Santa from 5p.m. until 7p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.  Kids will enjoy a free train ride through the park, a cup of hot choclate, and a bag of popcorn.  The event is in Lions Community Park in Waterman IL.  www.petestrain.com  Sat 4:30-9:00p.m. and Sun. 4:30 – 8:00p.m.

Cheap Weekend Fun Events: 12/11/2010

Lakeshore Learning Craft – Stop by anytime between 11 am and 3 pm to make a gingerbread ornament
Lowes Build and Grow Workshop – This Saturday at 10am is the Kids Clinic and they are making a passenger car (last week was the caboose and next week is the train engine)
Bass Pro Shop – Stop by Saturday between noon and 5 pm to make a Santa Bobber Ornament (also get a free photo with santa and first 150 kids get Santa Bandz)
Borders - Stop by at 11 am for a holiday party.  There will be stories, sing-alongs, games and more.

We have on 12/12 in DeKalb the Shrek event from 12p.m. until 4p.m.
