I paid $.25 for all this not including tax. Total savings $48 dollars!

I have 2 more Gain Coupons to use that expire on 3/31!  It has been a great coupon.  I have a wonderful stockpile.  I bought most of my coupons on ebay except for the 7 coupons I got out of my newspapers.

Note:  the key to couponing is building a stockpile one product at a time.  I do this usual with things I can get free with coupons.  Sometimes I will buy items for $.25.

Dollar General Expereince Today was Great in Rochelle and my Conclusion to the big rude incident yesterday at DeKalb, IL!

I had a great experience today couponing with my Gain coupons in Rochelle. Bought 4 more boxes of Gain with the $3/1 coupon and one bottle of DG hand soap for a $1 to eat up overage.  Total paid $.89 in tax.  Yes I bought many Gain coupons of of Ebay to stock pile!!   I had 7 coupons from papers I received (total cost of the 7 papers $.75) and bought 20 coupons on ebay.  Don’t forget stocking up on a great deal when it hits its low is always the strategy to using coupons to get the best price! incident

I just want to say I will never coupon shop or shop period at the Dollar General in DeKalb! The lady is rude and doesn’t understand coupons at all!  I have had 2 bad experiences with this manager.    Many of my readers have had bad experiences in DeKalb and have told me they don’t use coupons there anymore either because she is rude.  Until this manager leaves I am done with DeKalb.  They get the worst costumer rating that I have ever experienced in my life.  Telling me in a nasty way:  see my way is better and cheaper and your way is not!!  You will pay more your way.  When it worked at the store the night before the same way it works in Rochelle!  Please.   I am not trying to cheat the store with coupons I have better things to do in my life.   Plus telling other couponers that follow my blog I know that computer internet coupons are not excpeted.  Well that is not true if you copy their coupon policy it states manufacture coupons from the internet are accepted.

However I will now only shop with or without coupons at the Rochelle Dollar General!!! Nice costumer service never rude to the customer and talking back.  I love that store!  I will just stop there after work for the things I need on the way home!!  :) :) :)

Dollar General- DeKalb IL – my couponing experience.

I went this morning to Dollar General in DeKalb IL and this is my couponing experience.  I went to buy more Gain Fabric Sheets with the $3/1 coupons in the 2/13 insert.  I had gone one time before to this Dollar General in DeKalb and had no problem buying 4 boxes of Gain and absorbing the overage in another product.  In fact I had done a similar transaction in Rochelle to without any problems.  Today the manger of the store said she had to ring up all four separately because it was one coupon per purchase.  I told her she didn’t because each Gain dry sheets was a separate  purchase.  That the coupon would state one per transaction.  Anyway I don’t think she understood me and thought her store would be losing money.  So after arguing I gave in said ring each separate.  She did and started to hand me back money out the register which was quit weird to me.  Because many places state you won’t get back overage so I was just going to suck it up because I already had 2 good runs with these coupons.  When she had rung up all 4 separate I had about $1.83 in change.  Which then I used the change to pay for the detergent that I was going to buy anyways that would of eliminated the overage (the change she gave me back).  I do state don’t expect to get overage it is not always granted but I read forums and blogs that state overage is giving at Dollar General.  And if they aren’t marking the coupon down to $2.75 or say $2.00 then they are profiting off your coupon from the manufacture.  For example Walmart always writes on them and marks them down never giving overage.

My question has anyone else had problems like this at Dollar General?  Is it weird to get cash back from a register?  It was my first time ever to get cash back and I have been couponing for sometime now.    I have had problems with the DeKalb Dollar General in the past but this was the first cash back scenario.   Even though Rochelle were I work Dollar General is not as clean to say I never have problems there.

A little Congra Shopping Trip at Jewel and Gain Shopping at Dollar General

- Whoops and one can of Wolfs Chili fell out of my bag in the car so it’s not pictured.  My Dh V-Day card is not pictured.

So what did I get at Jewel?

16 cans of Wolf’s Chill with no beans

2 cans of Healthy Choice Soup (still have lots left from the last conagra deal!)

24 cans of Chef Boyarde

30 4 packs of Hunts Pudding.

I paid oop $30.87 and still have a $10 catalina coupon to use.   In couponing terms I spent $20.87 and tax is included in the total.

My total Savings at Jewel was $101.80!

Dollar General

3 – Gain 60 Count Dryer Sheets (priced at $2.75)

3 Gain 40 Count Dryer Sheets (priced at $2.00)

1 – 7 pack of Irish spring Soap (priced at $3.00)

1- V-Day Card (priced at $1.00)

Total for all without tax was 25 cents!  The $.25 cents was for the card.  They give you the overage at Dollar General which is great.

Total Savings $18.00!

Total paid for the above picture was $21.12!

Total savings is $119.80!

I did 2 transactions of 14 puddings each!  And of course Miss 2 love Ice Cream Pudding!  I was taking the picture and she said wow cool ice cream mommy!

I did one transaction of 8 wolf’s Chili without beans (this will only work this scenario with the no bean chilli) and 2 Healthy Choice Soups.  I used 3 $.75/2 coupons for Chili and used one tear pad coupon $.55/2 coupon.  I uded one $1.50/2 Healthy Choice Soup Coupon.

I did a transaction of 12 cans of Chef Boyarde and 4 Chili’s.  Used a $.35/3 coupon for Chef Boyarde and used 2 tear pad coupons of $.55/2 coupons on Chili. When Miss 2 saw the fake spaghetti she had to have some right after her ice cream.  This is really why I stock up on these items.  She loves them and only eats about 8 different types of food!

I did a transaction of 12 cans of Chef Boyarde, 2 chili’s and 2 4 packs of Hunt Puddings.

In total I did 5 transaction.  I am sorry I snatched all the vanilla pudding at the DeKalb Jewel.  So if you need pudding call maybe they will restock tonight!  Don’t forget ConAgra Deals ends tomorrow at Jewel!
